Investment Research Associate

BBR Partners is searching for an Investment Research Associate to play an important role as part of the Research Team. The right candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mind-set who enjoys working in a small-firm environment and is adaptable, able to multi-task and has a passion for financial markets.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the due diligence and monitoring of external investment managers (both traditional and alternative)
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of investment managers and other investment opportunities
Attend due diligence meetings, take detailed notes, and summarize information for distribution
Participate in regular internal Research team meetings to discuss investment managers and present due diligence results
Support Research team members in providing commentary for client communication
Support Research team members as necessary to perform other research projects
Qualifications:

An undergraduate degree from a highly ranked school, with a strong academic track record
Knowledge, experience and passion for financial markets
Required technical skills include MS Office and a high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and demonstrate tremendous initiative and sense of personal accountability
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and inter-personal skills
Comfortable with being wrong. Seeks to learn from mistakes and willing to put in the effort necessary to get the job done.
Demonstrates unquestioned ethics and credibility.
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
High degree of intellectual curiosity
