Controller (Healthcare)
Salary: $175,000-$200,000
Location: Spring Valley, NY

1. Oversee functions of Accounting Department to ensure meaningful and timely reporting to ownership and management.

· Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports for facility ownership.
· Ensure accurate integration of financial related data with the accounting system
· Review financials and facility performance with operators monthly
· Develop operating budgets for new facilities and monitor actual to projected
· Develop and monitor construction budgets for new facilities
· Work in tandem with the Payroll Department to ensure complete and accurate recording of payroll transaction in accounting software
· Key role in accounting system implementation (QuickBooks to “Intact by Sage”)

2. Optimize employee performance through continuous training, feedback, and recognition:
· Establish best practices and ideal workflows to enable department success
· Effectively orient new staff and provide continuous education to all staff members
· Develop staff training for Accounting software transition
· Provide meaningful feedback to staff in a formal and informal manner and conduct performance evaluation reviews on a consistent basis, identifying areas of concern and pro-actively addressing them

3. Build a positive rapport with facility ownership and operators:
· Provide excellent customer service while supporting the accounting/payroll needs
· Maintain frequent, timely and transparent communication with operators
