Early Childhood Center Director
The Ramaz School is seeking an Early Childhood Center (ECC) Director for the 2021-2022 school year for Nursery, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The Early Childhood Center Director will inspire a love of learning and help spark children’s individual curiosity and interests as they begin their journeys of exploration, discovery and skill-building. In addition to leading an inquiry-based, integrated and hands-on program, the ECC Director will work with the Director of Judaic Studies and the Director of General Studies in planning, staff development, and curriculum design.

The ideal candidate for this leadership position should:

Demonstrate expertise in child-centric academic and social-emotional curriculum development and implementation in early childhood
Inspire a joyful approach to Judaism
Maintain high quality standards of early education and care for all children
Maintain a positive outlook and approach with strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
Possess classroom experience working with students in early childhood
Oversee and coordinate the development and implementation of creative, rich Shabbat and holiday programming as well as milestone celebrations across the ECC
Possess fluency in Hebrew and English
Demonstrate openness, understanding and commitment to children with diverse backgrounds, interests, and abilities
Assume responsibility for teacher-implementation of the curriculum in the classrooms
Facilitate staff schedules, regular meetings and ongoing classroom observations
Recruit, supervise, and mentor early childhood faculty
Work with the Ramaz Admissions team to help market and grow the program, give tours, and oversee enrollment process
Communicate effectively and regularly with parents, fostering and maintaining positive, transparent relationships with ECC families, and support parents with child development
Demonstrate a willingness to participate in continued professional development and keep up to date on early childhood research and trends

The Early Childhood Center Director should be a forward-thinking and passionate educator, with advanced degrees. The ECC Director will report to the Head of Nursery-8.
